Aphrodite on stage
Beauty is a herald. A forerunner. A threshold. Beauty is my banner. Love is my flame. And remembrance is my gift to you.

The old stories say she rose from the sea-foam — She of the Sea-Foam and Smile, a radiance woven into sky and tide. Men named her goddess, and later reduced her to desire. In Rome she became Genetrix, ancestral mother. The centuries piled distortion upon her name. The Sky-Veil does not restore that temple. It transfigures the figure.

In the Sky-Veil she is no longer the goddess of old. Jealousy and pettiness vanish like mist. She stands as Herald of Beauty: harbinger of the aletheia of beauty, the entry the pilgrim receives first. Aphrodite awakens longing. She does not demand worship. She announces, and points beyond herself. Her rose is the first gift. Her shimmer is the nearness of Being.

On stage she is the keystone of the archway — lead guitar, and at times a second voice. The call of beauty becomes melody. From that first gift the Golden Thread is followed, and the Veil begins to open.
